Aluminum 6061 / 6061-T6

The most versatile general-purpose alloy. It delivers excellent machinability, weldability, and corrosion resistance with good strength. Widely used for structural parts, frames, electronic enclosures, automotive components, and prototypes.

Typical Properties (6061-T6):

  • Yield Strength: ~276 MPa
  • Density: 2.70 g/cm³
  • Brinell Hardness: 95

Excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine and chemical environments. Good formability and fatigue strength.

High strength combined with superior corrosion resistance. Commonly used in shipbuilding, pressure vessels, and marine equipment.

 

Aluminum 7075 / 7075-T6
