6CNC / MACHINING IN ACTION

Aerospace Connector CNC Machining

See a connector body take shape through turning, side machining and internal feature machining — with close-up views inside the CNC machine.

2-minute machining video · Connector body geometry and tool access

Three views of the machining process

Follow the tools around the outside, across the side and into the central opening of the connector body.

Turning the external geometry

The close-up view follows the tool around the stepped body. Diameters, shoulders and faces establish the geometry for the next operations.

Accessing side features

A tool approaches across the side of the component. Tool clearance and workholding matter when machining features around a turned body.

01:28 / INTERNAL FEATURES

Machining from the axial direction

The tool enters along the component axis. Internal diameters, depths and edge conditions need to be considered together with the mating parts.

6CNC / CONNECTOR MANUFACTURING

From machining sequence to your finished part

6CNC provides custom CNC machining for connector bodies and related components. We review your drawings, material, quantity and inspection requirements to plan the manufacturing route.

A practical project review connects every critical interface to its machining, finishing and inspection requirements.

01 / Define the material

Specify the exact grade and condition — for example, 316 stainless steel where required by the design — together with material documentation requirements.

02 / Identify critical tolerances

Mark the dimensions that control fit and alignment. Where ±0.01 mm is specified, identify the relevant features, datums and inspection method.

03 / Plan internal features and edges

Include internal grooves, small bores, thread details and burr-sensitive areas. These features guide tool selection and the operation sequence.

04 / Confirm the finished condition

If nickel or gold plating is specified, define the coating system, thickness and whether critical dimensions apply before or after plating.

Discuss your connector machining project

Send your 2D drawings and 3D files, material, quantity and critical requirements. Include any coating, inspection or documentation requirements for a focused manufacturing review.
